Almost 12 years ago I had a daughter with anencephaly. Her name was Gabrielle Vivian. My husband and I felt and experienced many of the emotions you speak of here. We got the diagnosis at 16 weeks. I carried to term. We were blessed to have her with us for 9 days. I do still feel some sadness a dozen years later. But I wouldn&#39;t have traded the experience for anything. Gabrielle was exactly as she was supposed to be. She did exactly what she came to do. I may never know how far her presence extends. But God does. And He is infinitely wise.
